con Ely Guerra?
I love the version of El Duelo, actually, I love listening to her on it. I was happy that the song title was "con Ely Guerra" - yea, that must be the one. So I pay my buck and start listening. Hey! where's the Mexican chick? Damn it Jim! The download must be a different version, all I can figure. I wanted to hear Ely! Aye.

3 stars, not to slam them for my disappointment (amazon mixup? or did they edit her out or what? L if I know.)

Beautiful rock 'n' roll
I was watching the Latin Grammy Awards last week when I learned that La Ley was disbanding. I was dismayed, especially when the group proceeded to perform an electrifying set that rocked the house.

I always thought that Beto Cuevas was a rock star of the highest order: Sexy and piercing in his look, but intelligent and oozing sensitivy through his vocals and video performances. All the members of the band are top notch musicians, but Beto stands out. I wonder if he is going to go solo? I hope so. I really don't think I am ready to say goodbye.

My favorites on this CD are "El Duelo" -- which will move you whether you speak Spanish or not -- "Aqui," "Al Final" and "Delirando."

I recommend all La Ley's CDs: Check out "Libertad." The songs "Amate y Salvate," "Los Demas," and "Mas Alla" are superlative. If you really want to check out Beto's rock star quotient, the DVD for this Uplugged performance and for "Amate y Salvate" will make you a true believer. The earlier CDs are great too. On "Invisible," my favorites are "Deuxieme Fois" and "Dia Cero." The original version of "El Duelo" is here too.

La Ley grew and created great music over the years, just like true artists should do.

Deserves more than 5 stars-Awesome!!!
If you are not familiar with La Ley I recommend you buy this CD and go back and buy the rest of their CD's. Beto Cuevas has a talent he has a remarkable voice it's indescribable. Hear it and you'll know what I'm talking about, you'll fall in love (if your a girl :))pair that up with the music and you have a hit. He can sing unplugged and it's so perfect that you think your hearing the radio version. La Ley is the best Latin rock group out their-it's ashame so many people have not heard of them. Hear them now and buy it-people!!

Perfect!!!
I saw La Ley live in concert recently at Webster Hall in NYC. Words can't express how incredible this band plays live. Beto Cuevas is trully a gifted vocalist who comfortably and eloquently uses the full range of his voice and delivers a perfect performance. Their unplugged CD a good example of how talented they are. The unplugged DVD is even better.

Unlike Mana, Deep, New and Innovative.
With a better lead singer and an amplitude of variety between songs in comparison to Mana, La Ley has proved once again to have taken the crown that Soda Stereo left for best latin rock band. Besides "Mentira" the rest of the songs are not commercial or "pop" like other reviews said. This album lets you connect with the band's old and new style. Songs from most of their previous albums give you some deep inside feeling to what they have emerged to since 1989. "Dia 0", a song about a person that suffers from Amnesia is my personal favorite, but other songs like "Fuera De Mi", and "Al Final", provide you with a good taste of acoustic guitar, and symphonic strings, with the never dissapointing voice of Alberto Cuevas. His performance in "The Corridor" and "Krazyworld", demonstrate his versatile knowledge of not only the English, but also the French language. If you loved Soda and you are looking for a replacement, dont settle for the repetitive Mana, La Ley is your ticket. This album is probably the one you should buy first if you dont have any. But if you're a fan like me, you know this is just another example of greatness... La Ley has yet to make a dissapointing album.
