Keep drinking chemical- and odor-free water with a new Pur water filter. This pack of three replacement filters fits Pur’s Ultimate Water Filtration Dispenser and Pitcher. They reduce cadmium, cryptosporidium, giardia, lead, mercury, asbestos, copper, zinc, and sediment 96 to 99.99 percent; plus lessen chlorine levels and discoloration.

Pur’s filters are made with activated carbon to reduce chlorine and sediment, and include an ion-exchange resin that helps eliminate lead and copper. For best results, filters should be changed every 40 gallons. While Pur filters rid water of many chemicals, coloration, and bad flavors, they do not soften water or remove fluoride. This package of filters measures 7.9 by 7.6 by 2.7 inches, and weighs 2 pounds. --Jessica Reuling

The old Ultimate filters are gone. The new ones don't have a monitor
I bought the four-pack last week and when it arrived I was dismayed to see that the orange monitor that told you when it was time to replace the filter was gone! I've looked all over the internet and no one is offering those Ultimates any more (except one seller on eBay. Maybe they're old stock). Then I went to the PurWater site (http://www.purwater.com/#/pitchers) and they are definitely not showing the old Ultimates with the monitor any more. Too bad, I really liked being told when to change the filter. Now they provide you with those stupid stick-ons to remind you to change the filter every two months. I'm just going to mark my kitchen calendar. I commiserate with all the reviewers who are puzzled and disappointed that this happened to us without any warning. I still rate the filters 5 stars because they are still (I assume!) a great filter.

Works as advertised.
I use these filters in the Pur shelf dispenser and they fit and work well. The last couple I have ordered seem to be a lot less prone to running slowly or clogging.

A Lot of water for your buck
We drink a lot of water in our household. These filters are not only difficult to find in retail stores they are also more expensive than what Amazon offers. This 4 pack is a very good deal. The filters work well and last about 8 monts.

Love this product
We use it daily, and our water tastes wonderful!!! :) I've have the ones that attach to the sink, what a pain. This thing rocks! Easy to clean/refill, and tastes better than anything else we've tried. Plus we don't buy bottled water and are helping to save the planet. ;)
